Abstract

A one-pot, three-component reaction of 4-hydroxy coumarin, arylglyoxals, and 5-amino-3-methylisoxazole in the presence of L-proline as an organocatalyst in acetic acid under reflux conditions provides a series of new pyrrolo [3,2-d] isoxazole derivatives (4a-l) in excellent yields.

Keywords: One-pot synthesis; L-proline catalyst; Arylglyoxals; Efficient new synthesis; Pyrrolo[3,2-d]isoxazoles.
